General description of the conference
This international conference is being held to commemorate the first anniversary of Eugene Gendlin’s centennial birth. It is an opportunity to come together and experience Focusing from Spanish, immersing ourselves in the richness of feelings and intuitions, to share our hopes, projects, and the magic of getting to know one another in person. For five days, we will immerse ourselves in a Focusing atmosphere enhanced by the beauty of the Spanish language, alongside the spiritual and ancestral mystique of Latin America.
We will be able to share our diversity, interact based on our differences and our unique qualities, and smile as we feel at home in the implicit dimension of the legacy left to us by Mary and Gene Gendlin—a legacy that takes shape in this Focusing dimension whenever a meaningful encounter occurs.
We invite you to fully experience Focusing as a phenomenon, fluidly exploring the distinctions of A Process Model with the solemn certainty of Gene’s smile and the hopeful gaze of Mary Hendricks. To experience Focusing with love and dedication, looking toward the future from this present moment—full of potential uncertainty amid a turbulent global context—and to awaken the magic of the felt sense that has allowed us to be the Homo sapiens we are and will become, with greater experiential humanity, opening up a meaningful horizon with the whisper of a better world.
